The Hummingbird Hammocks Ultralight Double Hammock is an ultralight hammock built for two. An additional 12 inches in length and 34 inches in width give you some extra room to stretch out. It holds 400 pounds and is designed by a FAA Certified Parachute Rigger. It brings parachute technology to the hammock industry for the first time. The Button Link attachment system contains no bulky or heavy metal parts, can be compressed into a small pack, and are as easy to assemble as buttoning your pants.
The perfect hammock to relax with another or to keep for yourself and hang like a king.
I purchased the double nest hammock, bug net, and extra long tree straps together weighing out at 18 oz. the hammock itself is extremely roomy and comfortable, I can wrap the whole thing around me like a cocoon and could easily fit another person with me if necessary. It’s very easy to set up and take down and packs down easily. I’d easily buy this again, and may even buy the single nest at some point considering how roomy it is. For reference, I’m 5’2’ and 160lbs.
I’ve been backpacking with a variety of hammocks for many years now, and the Hummingbird Single (for solo trips) and Double (for trips with my partner) have easily become my favorites. Super lightweight yet durable, and incredibly comfortable. Paired with tree straps, this is an unbeatable combination! I couldn't recommend them enough.
I picked up the Hummingbird single hammock before the double, and though insanely light weight, I felt I needed a wider hammock to get that ideal, flat lay. The double-wide version only adds 3 ounces and is much more comfortable for me (5'11" 145 lbs). Will never look for another hammock for backpacking after this!
The other reviews already covered excellent points. So i'll add my bit. Im on the AT in NY. There are mosqitoes everywhere. I brought a bug net for no reason. Now im 5'8" 180lbs about. I lay in this double beauty of a hammock. And it closes itself over me. No more mosqito problem. They cant get in. I didnt expect that. I love this thing. So i myself didnt need to bring a mosqito net. Also i was able to move around and side sleep in it with no problems. I use a quilt not a mummy bag. Quilts are better for freedom of movement
Great hammock! Super lightweight
