Our gear weighs about 30% less than anything else on the market, but weight isn’t the only thing we care about. We also demand that the hammock packs small and travels well. We believe the volume in your pack deserves as much love as its weight.
You'll find no bulky metal parts or thick webbing here. Using actual reserve parachute nylon and our button link system, we compress the hammock into a very small stuff sack, keeping it as unnoticed in your pack as it is on the scale.
I love the size and the weight. I am super excited to use it. That being said, it looks like the stitching on the bag itself is coming undone on one side. I'm debating whether it's worth return the hammock and exchanging it for another one. I'm not sure how it will hold up once I start using it. And I don't want the bag to break down on me after my first back packing trip.
Couldn’t ask for more. The build quality on all my Hummingbird products is exemplary, and I’ll be recommending this to friends.
We use our hammock as a chair most often and for naps. My wife and I each carry a single and I carry a single+. Quick to set up and for around 7 ounces with straps is much lighter than any camping chair. We have been using these since 2017.
I’m a shade over 6’5” with a fighting weight of 250lbs. Finding an ultralight hammock that is both roomy enough and strong enough for me is challenging. Hummingbird nailed it with its Long hammock, and at a price point under $100! The materials, craftsmanship and customer service are all top notch! I also purchased a Long bug net to go with it, and am equally impressed with it.
Fair warning - if you use a structural ridgeline (which I do), be aware that it supports the bug net from the outside, so you lose the ability to utilize your ridagliene for storage unless you run a second one inside the netting.
Also, since I’m not an ultralight purest, I eschew Hummingbird’s strap system in favor of a more traditional carabiner/daisy-chain strap system. For me, it makes an easier setup process when using a ridgeline and under quilt.
I can’t recommend Hummingbird’s products highly enough! (Now if they would only get tarps and quilts back in stock…
I have not received my order and was about to inquire about it. Can you track were my hammock is at?
After years of thinking about buying a hammock I eventually took the plunge , can honestly say it’s the best bit of kit !! Lye back and soak up those forest rays 👍
Great service and I’ll be buying more for the family , thank you 🙏
Just started getting into hammocks. My husband is in the military and loves his hammock, so I wanted one of my own. This rain tarp is good! It rained the past few days, almost non-stop, so I really put it to the test. And it worked! Easy to set up with it’s given instructions. I set it up with no issues or struggles.
Sturdy, amazingly lightweight, and high quality. I’m 6’7” and about 250lbs, and the long hammock works perfectly for me. I have two other hammock systems, and this one is by far the lightest and most compact when packed. Highly recommend.
Perfect fitting for my outdoor excursions! I will get two additional plus the tree straps. Thank you
These were the ultralight solution I was looking for! Thanks you!!
Haven't had a chance to set it up yet but from just looking it over, it looks well built. The fact that the hammock, straps and bug net are only a couple pounds packed, it'll fit well in my get home bag.
I love tenacious tape! one of the handiest items to keep with you weighing only ounces and taking up little space in your pack.
I used to use KLYMET hammock for winter with their big air mattress, however it is not big enough and mattress moves around while sleeping.
but the double hammock is very wide enough and very comfortably fit durning night.
Great product, using this instead off carabineers to attach my hammock to my straps. Love them!
